We mow a lot of yards in Mabank. Most homeowners see the result — the stripes, the clean edge, the blown drive. Here is the full sequence of what Matt's crew does from gate to gate, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Arrival and walk-around (2 minutes)
Before anything starts, one of us walks the yard. We are looking for branches, toys, hoses, dog waste, or anything the mower should not hit. If your gate code changed, we text — we do not guess.
Mow pattern (15–30 minutes depending on lot)
We mow in alternating patterns each visit — north-south one week, east-west the next. Mowing the same direction every time creates ruts and trains the grass to lean. Alternating keeps the lawn upright and even. Blade height: 3.5 inches spring and fall, 4 inches in summer heat.
Edging (8–12 minutes)
Every sidewalk, driveway edge, and bed border gets a fresh cut. Not a weed-eater hover — a real blade edge. This is the single thing that makes a yard look maintained vs. mowed. We edge every visit, not just the first one.
Trimming (10–15 minutes)
Around every tree trunk, fence post, mailbox, AC unit, and anything the mower cannot reach. We use the string trimmer at the same height as the mower deck so the trim line matches the mow line. Mismatched heights look sloppy.
Blow-off (5 minutes)
Clippings off the drive, sidewalk, porch, and patio. We blow toward the yard, not toward the street or your neighbor's property. If clippings landed on your car (it happens), we blow that off too.
Photo text
After the first visit, you get a text with a photo of the finished yard. After that, photos go on request or if we spotted something you should know about — a fire-ant mound, a sprinkler head that is not popping up, a bare spot forming.
