Who Josh is and what they own.
Josh is Creative Director at Betterside. He owns the visual side of the business — the before/after photography, the video, the on-site capture that turns every visit into a story you can see. If Danny holds the words, Josh holds the image. The two of them are the brand surface; the rest of the officers run the work the brand has to live up to.
What that looks like in practice: when a Mabank yard gets the spring cleanup treatment, Josh is the one with the camera before the crew unloads and the drone up after they're done. When a Cedar Creek lake rental gets reset for a Sunday checkout, Josh shoots the inside before the next guests arrive. The before/afters on this site, the field-notes blog photography, the social presence — that's his hand.
He didn't move into this role from outside the company. Josh was one of the four founding partners and co-led cleaning end-to-end through Betterside's first chapter. As the company brought in dedicated operations leadership, Josh shifted to the visual side full-time — the work he'd been quietly building on the side since the company started.
How the leadership team splits the work: John as CEO holds strategy. Matt as President holds the customer calendar and the front door, with Brook running operations and cleaning underneath him. Ben as VP of Construction holds the building line. Josh as Creative Director holds the visual brand. Pablo as CTO & CIO holds the tech stack. Danny as CMO holds the voice. Josh and Danny together are the brand surface; the rest run the work behind it.
