Danny Jackson
The voice you've read up to this point.
Danny Jackson is CMO at Betterside — the brand voice, the writing on the site, the field notes on the blog, and the social presence. If you've read anything on Betterside that sounded like a person, that was Danny's hand.

How Danny thinks about the work
“Tired-friend voice. Short sentence first, longer second. The villain is the Saturday chore — never the homeowner reading it.”
The full story
Who Danny is and what they own.
Danny is CMO at Betterside. The site copy, the field notes, the blog posts, the social presence — Danny owns the voice across every surface. If you've read anything on Betterside that sounded like a real person talking to you instead of a service brochure, Danny is the reason.
He's not one of the four founding partners (John, Matt, Pablo, Josh) — but he's a full officer of the company. Content is his book and it stops with him.
The voice is intentional. Short sentence first, longer second. "You" density beats "we" density three to one. Local specificity — name the town, the landmark, the season. Dry humor, zero judgment. The villain is always the Saturday chore, never the reader. Every post and every page on this site holds that line because Danny holds it.
What he doesn't run: the actual crew work or the calendar. Crew questions go to Matt. Content, brand, or 'who wrote this' questions go to Danny.
