Privacy notice

What we collect, why, and how to delete it.

We collect the smallest amount of information that lets us build you a plan and stay in touch about your property. We never sell it. If you want it gone, we delete it — same week, no questions.

Who runs this notice

Betterside Home Services is a Texas business operated by John Cravey, Matt Snider, Pablo Novelo, and Josh Grounds — the four partners. When this notice says “we” we mean those four plus Danny Jackson on content. Mailing area: Mabank, TX, 75147.

What we collect

There are exactly two places we collect information today:

1. The plan builder (six questions)

  • · Your answers to the six tap-through questions (what you're tired of, property type, household, budget band, timing).
  • · The first name and phone number you give us on the final step. Email if you choose to include it.
  • · A session ID stored in a first-party cookie (bs_sid) so you can come back to your in-progress plan from the same browser.
  • · The page you started on (for example, a specific city × service page) so we know how you found us.

2. The contact form

  • · First name, phone or email (your choice), and the message you wrote.
  • · Your preferred reply method (text, call, or either).
  • · The page you submitted from.

We do not use cookies for analytics or ad tracking today. We do not use third-party tracking pixels. If we add analytics later, this notice will say so before we turn it on.

Where we store it

Plan answers and contact messages are stored in a Supabase project we own. Supabase hosts the database in the United States. Only the four partners, Danny Jackson, and Brook Newland have access. We use the data to build your quote, follow up if you asked us to, and keep a record of past work on your property.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell your data, we do not pass it to a marketing list, and we do not share it with a parent company or referral network. If a third-party service ever needs access to do its job (for example, the cleaner that processes a credit card payment) we'll list that vendor here before we use them.

How long we keep it

  • · In-progress plan sessions: 30 days from last activity, then deleted.
  • · Submitted contact messages and finished plans: kept for the life of the relationship plus 2 years for tax / business-records purposes.
  • · If you ask us to delete sooner, we do.

How to delete your data

Text (903) 425-4656 or email desk@bettersidehomeservices.com and say “delete my data.” We'll do it the same week and reply when it's done. No phone-tree, no “please submit a request through our portal,” no excuses.

Texas residents — your rights

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you have the right to (a) confirm whether we're processing your personal data, (b) get a copy of it, (c) correct it if we have something wrong, and (d) delete it. Use the contact method above. We respond within 45 days.

Children

Betterside is a home-services company. We don't market to anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect data from a minor. If a kid filled out our form, tell us — we'll delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we change anything material, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top and post a short note on the homepage for 14 days. We won't change a previous version retroactively.
