Most cleaning companies will never tell you not to hire them. We will. If you can keep up with the house in under 3 hours a week and you do not hate doing it, you probably do not need us. Here is how to know if you crossed the line.
Hire a cleaning service when
- You have two working adults and the house reset is consistently getting pushed to the weekend.
- You have a medical condition, injury, or post-surgery recovery that makes bending, kneeling, or lifting unsafe.
- You are a landlord with tenant turns — this is not a question of preference, it is a question of turnaround time.
- You have an aging parent whose home needs upkeep and you cannot be there every week.
- The house is clean enough but never actually clean. The difference matters to you and you are tired of noticing it.
Do not hire a cleaning service when
- You want someone to organize your stuff. Cleaning and organizing are different jobs.
- You expect perfection in 2 hours for $80. A real deep clean on a 3/2 takes 4–5 hours the first time.
- You are not comfortable with someone in your home. That is a real boundary and you should respect it.
- You only need it once a year. A one-time deep clean makes sense, but a recurring service does not if the house stays clean between visits.
What to look for locally
- Insurance. Ask for the cert. If they hesitate, walk.
- A walkthrough before the first clean. Anyone who quotes without seeing the house is guessing.
- Clear scope. 'We clean everything' means they clean nothing consistently.
- Same crew each visit. Rotating crews means retraining your preferences every time.
- Photos after the first clean. You should see what they think 'done' looks like before visit two.
If you are on the fence, text us. We will tell you honestly whether you need recurring service or just a one-time reset.
